The Best Value Gin: Seagram’s Lime Twisted Gin. If you’re looking for a good value gin, this one has a smooth citrus flavor and mixes well with flavored liqueurs.
The Best Everyday Gin: Bombay Sapphire. This gin is a go to Gin. It’s on the sweeter side, balances tonic perfectly, and has a subtle floral flavor that enhances the flavor of the pomegranate.
A Good Splurge Gin: The Botanist is delicate gin that has a slight bite on the tongue that is balanced perfectly by the sweetness of the pomegranate.
The Perfect Gin for Martinis: Hendrick’s gin has a unique floral taste because it is infused with rose and cucumber during distillation. The flavor of Hendrick’s gin is enhances in dry martinis but the pomegranate in this recipe would overpower the gin— save it for another drink!
The Best Gin in our Liquor Cabinet: Monkey 47. The “47” in “Monkey 47” comes from the number of botanicals used during distillation. This gin is extremely complex and carries flavors from citrus to lavender to pepper. It is unrivaled in its smoothness and depth and is the gin to reach for when you want the best drink possible.
This is a simple, refreshing and very festive cocktail to serve yourself, your guests and/or family this holiday season.
