Christmas truffles are the perfect bite sized ending to a wonderful holiday dinner. But, these aren’t your ordinary fudgy, dense truffles though. These are cookie dough truffles that, with one bite, will bring back delicious memories of scoring that last bit of dough in the bowl when Mom was making cookies.
Dipped into melted chocolate, and finished with a touch of sprinkles, these super-easy truffles are great for holiday presents, a holiday cookie exchange and most definitely, deserve a spot on the holiday dessert tray.
How to Make Cookie Dough Christmas Truffles step by step

- Begin by creaming the butter and sugar together. See our step by step guide on How to Properly Cream Butter and Sugar together.
- Alternate beating in the flour and condensed milk.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Freeze for one hour.
- Form balls using a cookie dough (or small ice cream) scoop and roll gently with your hands.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and continue until all the dough is used.
- Last, dip each dough ball into the melted chocolate and place on a baking sheet.
- Garnish with sprinkles.

SIMPLE Cookie Dough Christmas Truffles
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Total Time: 2 hours
- Yield: 40-45 Truffles 1x
Ingredients
- ½ Cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ Cup Brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 Cups All-purpose flour ** see notes
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- ½ Cup Mini chocolate chips
For the Coating
- Almond Bark or Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Sprinkles
- White Chocolate
- Chocolate shavings
Instructions
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until fluffy. See our notes on
- Beat in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour and the condensed milk, alternating.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Freeze for 1 hour.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper and form balls with cookie dough scoop and place on prepared baking sheets.
- Place in freezer 30-60 minutes, longer is fine.
- Add almond bark or semi sweet chocolate chips to microwave safe bowl and heat for 1 minute. Stir and continue heating for 30 seconds at a time until chocolate is almost melted.
- Remove the balls from the freezer and using a fork and knife, dip the balls in melted chocolate, allowing the chocolate to drip off into the bowl. Place on prepared baking sheet.
- If using sprinkles, add immediately before chocolate hardens.
