Fall is the perfect time to enjoy the cooler weather and take a long leisurely walk while sipping on a shake that tastes like pumpkin and ginger. Not all walks require a hot beverage, although pumpkin lattes certainly are nice.
What’s the difference between a shake and a smoothie?
Milkshakes are dairy based, which are most commonly prepared using ice cream, milk and flavored syrups. Whereas, a smoothie is made primarily with fruits, with milk, yogurt or water added in to make a smooth consistency.
This pumpkin spice and ginger crème shake is a wonderful blend of fall flavors that is sweetened up with some vanilla ice cream and sweetened condensed milk. The pumpkin spice and dried ginger give a great warmth to this drink. Top it off with a few gingerbread cookies, whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon for a great festive way to bring in autumn.
You can certainly buy some premade pumpkin spice, but since most kitchens already have the spices required to make it, why not make your own?
