- Begin by preparing the cake using common ingredients like flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix in milk, eggs, and vanilla to create a creamy cake batter. Spread the batter evenly into a prepared cake pan to create the base of the coffee cake.

- 3 Cups All purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 3 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 ½ Cups Milk
- 2 Large Eggs
- 4 teaspoons Vanilla extract
- ½ Cup Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1 Cup Brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
FOR THE GLAZE:
- 3 Cups Powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1–2 Tablespoon Water
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly spray an 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan with cooking spray and lay down a piece of parchment paper. Spray again lightly. Set aside.
- Mix the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, baking soda together.
- In a separate bowl mix the milk, eggs and vanilla extract. Sift the dry ingredients into the wet and mix slightly, now add in the melted butter. Mix until combined well.
- Pour the batter evenly into the pan.
